Lurk around the forest as a cute animal in yet another .io game the Mope.io

Mope.io is a very unique and cute IO game. It’s a browser based MMO where players can assume the role of various wild animals. Unlike most io games, you can also chat! Initially you start out as a tiny mouse. Then, as you eat more food, you will evolve into bigger and stronger creatures. You can transform all the way up to a cheetah, a rhino and even a dragon. Yep, you heard it right. You can evolve into a dragon in mopeio!

In the following article I will explain a little bit about the first couple of animals and what their special abilities are. The fox is currently the highest animal I have ever reached. Lame, I know. But as I keep playing this wonderful game, I will surely expand the article to cover more and more creatures.

Here’s a screenshot of me being the fox. Bonus points for you if you recognize the username reference!

ynef.net mopeio review i am the danger as fox

Mope.io animals and their abilities

ynef.net mopeio review mouseAs I already mentioned earlier, you start out as a tiny mouse. As a mouse you can only eat berries. It took me a while to get it, but berries are actually all of those red circle shapes. Go figure. So just eat those when you’re but a small mouse and soon enough you will transform into…

ynef.net mopeio review rabbit…A rabbit!

When you are a rabbit you can eat berries as well as mice. You’ll need to gather 50+ points to transform into one and it shouldn’t provide that much of a challenge.

ynef.net mopeio review pigIt takes 230 XP to turn into a filthy, fat pig. Not only can pigs eat berries, rabbits and mice, they can also eat mushrooms. Which means that you no longer get stuck behind those weird looking things. Great! Time to move onto the next animal…

ynef.net review the fox mopeioThe fox! I think one of the biggest advantages a fox can have in this game is the fact that it can hide inside redberry bushes. Hiding there really helped me out on numerous occasions and you can slowly eat berries at the same time without being harmed.

After a while though I got killed by a mole so I guess hiding inside a bush isn’t safe from all enemies. The fox is the farthest I’ve climbed on the “evolutionary ladder”.

ynef.net mopeio review deerDeer lord! At 1400 XP you can turn into a deer. While I haven’t personally reached so far due to being killed all the time by annoying little ****, I’ve seen these guys around quite often. So it shouldn’t be that hard to reach, right? I don’t know about that…

Other animals in mope.io

After the deer there are other, more powerful animals (see full list here). For example you can turn into a mole right after being a deer when you gather 3200 XP. It can burrow underground and hide in holes.

Or how about something more exotic like a zebra or a cheetah? You can also become a bear, a lion, a crocodile, a rhino, a hippo and eventually, if you are good enough, you get to be the dragon.

Although you won’t look as cool as you’d hope, you’ll still be able to fly over everyone and eat almost any other creature on the ground.

There’s also a theoretical animal after the dragon, but nobody has ever reached it. Why? Because it would take a whopping 100 million XP to turn into one of these.

Unknown “Black Dragon”

The theoretical creature is called the “Unknown” and the only clue of its existence can be found when dissecting the game’s source code.

Apparently on line 355 there’s a function called drawAnimal() which lists the color codes for all animals in the game. We can see that for an animal labeled simply as “???” the HTML color code is 000000 or the blackest black.

Creepy.

Limax.io is a new IO game with slugs. Lots and lots of slugs!

Surprise surprise! There’s yet another new .IO game out in the wild. And it’s pretty darn good too. So good, in fact, that it has the potential to kick its competitors like Slither.io and Wormax.io right in the nuts. Ouch! The game’s called Limax.io and it is essentially just like any other snake type IO game. The only difference is that instead of snakes, you’re crawling around as a slugLimaxIO has been around for about 4 months and has since then gained 600 Twitter followers, and around 7,000 likes on Facebook.

Limax.io GamePlay Screenshot ynef.net Review

What is Limax.io?

Limax.io is a browser based multi-player game similar to Slither.io. Except instead of growing your snake, you get to crawl around the arena as a slug and destroy your enemies.

How to move in Limax.io?

In order to move around the area all you have to do is point your mouse cursor towards the direction you want to go. Your slug will then move towards that direction.

Because the slugs are moving around considerably faster than in other similar games, you have to be ready for everything at all times. It’s a fast-paced game in which you will need to have good reflexes.

Main difference between Slither.io

Another major difference between these two games has to do with the way you can kill your foes. In Slither.io you have to get the other snake to crash into you. However in Limax.io you can kill other players by having them crash into the leftover mass that gets released as you accelerate forward (left mouse button).

How to kill other players effectively?

To kill other slugs in the game, all you have to do is make them crash into your leftover mass. In other words you need to:

  • Pick your unsuspecting target
  • Wait for the right moment…
  • Quickly dart in front of them, cutting off their path using the turbo boost

When you do this right you can kill pretty much anyone. And it doesn’t matter how much mass the other guy has either!

Limax.io Food Screenshot ynef.net ReviewEat food to accelerate

In order to actually perform the trick I just mentioned, you need to have some mass to begin with.

You can easily gain more mass when you eat bits of glowing food scattered around the world.

The biggest piece of food will add 7 points to your overall score.

Watch out for the little ones!

As you gain more mass and kills your slug will grow bigger. But like in many other .IO games, the bigger you are, the slower you become.

And this, of course, will make you vulnerable to an attack. Especially when the puniest of all the slugs comes near and turbo boosts all over you.

Be careful out there. It’s a cruel world.

WormaxIO Artifacts & Essence Points Explained

In my previous article on Wormax IO I briefly explained how the Booster system works. In this article I want to cover another important topic in the game which is The Shop. The Shop is a very useful part of WormaxIO where you can buy WormaxIO Artifacts that can do various things for you. For example you can decrease the cooldown time of the STOP and GHOST skills. Or if you prefer, you can increase the duration of Boosters.

How to access The Shop?

WormaxIO Artifacts How To Access The Shop Ynef.Net ReviewIn order to be able to buy stuff from The Shop, you must first register a free account on the WormaxIO website. You can then access the Shop by clicking on its respective button on the main log-in screen.

After you set up your account, you will start to gain essence points as you play the game. The amount of essence you earn is relative to how well you perform in each gaming session.

What are Essence Points?

Essence Points are your in-game currency that you can use to buy WormaxIO Artifacts from The Shop.

After the first death a part of your snake’s length is converted into essence with a ratio of 1000:1. All deaths afterwards convert essence at a rate of 3000:1.

This basically means that you will be rewarded with 1 essence point for every 3000’th length point you gain in the game.

Naturally you can buy more essence using real world currency at a rate of 500 essence points for $1,99 USD.

WormaxIO Artifacts Overview

WormaxIO Shop Artifacts Review Ynef.NetAfter you have bought or earned enough Essence Points you can start to buy various Wormaxio Artifacts from The Shop in order to maximize your chance of beating the game.

At first glance it might seem that even the most cheapest Artifacts cost way too much. For example the lowest tier (blue) Artifacts cost 100 Essence each.

However you shouldn’t let the seemingly high price of Artifacts bother you because compared to Slither.io, this game is much easier to master! Thanks to the various Boosters available throughout the world, you can grow your snake larger pretty quickly.

Tier 1 Artifacts

Tier 1 is the lowest and cheapest of them all. These Artifacts cost 100 Essence Points each. You can easily recognize the Artifacts in tier 1 by their Blue color. They also appear on the top of all other Artifacts.

You can decrease the STOP and GHOST cooldown time periods by 5% with Tier 1 Artifacts. Additionally you can increase your starting length by 100%, increase the Magnet Booster range by 5% and increase the field of vision by 2%. Additionally the worm receives -50% of the toxic mass consumed.

Other Artifact tiers

As the cost of the higher tier Artifacts increases, so does their overall power.

For example the tier 2 Artifacts which you will recognize by their Green color increase your starting length by 200%, increase the Magnet Booster for 10% and field of vision by 5%. Additionally the worm receives 0% of the toxic mass consumed.

Each Tier 2 Artifact will cost you 500 Essence Points which is the equivalent of about $2 USD in real world currency.

Wormax IO Boosters Explained and a Short How To Play Guide

At its core, Wormax IO is very similar to another highly popular snake game, the Slither.io. However Wormax comes with quite a few additional features which, arguably, make the game better than Slither in many ways. For one, the game has numerous special boosters that randomly spawn on the map.

These boosters can make the game easier and a lot more fun. In the following article I will give you a quick overview on what Wormax.io is all about. At the end of the article you will find a short how to play guide and as always, if for some reason you cannot access the game directly, you should try the WormaxIO Unblocked website.

Wormax.io overview

Wormax IO Gameplay Screenshot Ynef.Net Review

If you are familiar with Slither.io then Wormax should be easy enough to understand. Both the map and edible glowing food are identical to what we can see in Slither. It’s the special booster packs and your upgradeable snake character that really make it stand out from the rest.

What are Wormax.io Boosters?

As you crawl around the map and look for food, you can occasionally stumble upon booster packs that spawn randomly throughout the world.

Like in any other game, these boosters can help you get ahead and gain the upper hand against your enemies.

Wormax IO Health Boost Kettlebell Icon ynef reviewTake the Health Booster for example. When you eat this your snake will instantly gain +300 in length.

You can recognize the Health Booster by its distinct kettlebell icon.

Wormax IO Health Boost Binoculars Icon ynef reviewThen there is of course the Telescope Booster. Eat this and you will benefit from a 10% increase in your field of view.

You can recognize the Telescope booster by its distinct binoculars icon. The effect lasts for 1 minute.

Wormax IO Toxic Boost Ynef.Net ReviewThe Toxic Booster will make your worm toxic for 1 minute.

This means that if you die while toxic, any other snake who attempts to eat your remains will instead LOSE that amount of length.

Additionally, if you accelerate forward, the pieces that you leave behind are also toxic. However it’s worth noting that a worm cannot die just by eating toxic food. There is a limit of 10 length points from which you cannot go any lower when you eat toxic food.

You can recognize the Toxic Booster by its distinct radioactive icon.

Wormax IO Magnet Booster Ynef.Net ReviewThe Magnet Booster is one of my personal favorites.

Eat this and you will gain the upper hand by increasing the range you can eat food. In other words you will attract food towards you from 20% farther away.

The effect lasts for 1 minute and you can recognize the Magnet Booster by its distinct U-shaped magnet icon.

Wormax IO Mass Conservation Booster Ynef.Net ReviewAnd finally there is the Mass Conservation booster.

This one is especially useful for players who like to turbo boost around the map a lot as you won’t lose any of your length while on the Mass Conservation booster.

You can recognize this booster by its distinct green icon with bits of food crossed out.

How to play Wormax.io

As I previously mentioned, Wormax is very similar to another popular snake game called Slither.io. Your goal as a snake is to eat bits of glowing food and various boosters to eventually be the biggest snake in the game.

Using various strategies like circling your enemy so they can’t escape or quickly accelerating in front of an unsuspecting snake you can beat the game in no time.

Wormax.io Controls

Movement is controlled using your mouse and you can accelerate forward at an increased speed when you press the left mouse button or Q on your keyboard. Keep in mind that you will lose length every time you use turbo boost, therefore it’s wise to only use it occasionally.

Additionally you can STOP for a moment using the W key and transform yourself into a GHOST using the E key. These are two of the most notable differences in the way Wormax is played compared to Slither. As a ghost, you can move through other snakes freely so this skill may come in handy when you’re in a crowded place.

The shop

When you sign up for a free account you get access to The Shop. The Shop lets you customize your snake and add up to 7 artifacts on your body. Each artifact gives you additional bonuses on top of the various Boosts found in the game.

For example some of the artifacts will increase the range of the Magnet Booster while other Artifacts will decrease your cooldown period for the Stop and Ghost skills.

3 Awesome and Unique IO Games from All IO Games.net

Agar.io was the first .io game to gain massive publicity. Shortly after its success someone released an open source clone version of the game. Now IO games have spread across the internet like wildfire. I have already written many reviews and articles about these games in the past and today I found that someone made a website that lists all io games in one place. Neat!

3 Unique IO games from AllIOGames.Net

When I looked around the website I realized just how little I actually know about these types of games. There are a lot of titles yet unknown to me and some of them are actually pretty damn good. Below is a list with three most notable io games I found and a short description on what makes them better than their predecessor, Agar.io

Narwhale.io

A Narwhal is a medium-sized toothed whale indigenous to the Arctic sea. Because their tusk resembles a horn, some people jokingly call them the Unicorns of the sea. In Narwhale.io your role as a Narwhal is to kill your enemies using nothing but your sharp tusk.

narwhale io gameplay screenshot ynef unique io games

As you can see from the screenshot above, someone was just cut in half by the opponent. This is a truly unique game and a great addition to the IO games family.

Hordes.io

Hordes.io, unlike most other io games, is a 3D browser based MMO. The player can take up a role as a healer, tank or one of DPS classes and fight the enemy team.

Hordes.io gameplay screenshot ynef unique io games

In many ways this game resembles Minecraft in MultiPlayer mode. You have the characters made out of blocks and grasslands reaching the horizon. However the ground textures look way better than in Minecraft when you play using the default texture set.

Vertix.io

Vertix.io is another very unique IO game where the goal is to work as a team in order to beat the enemy faction. It’s essentially a 3rd person multiplayer shooter with a retro-ish look. Indeed, the pixel graphics make playing this game a walk down the memory lane. It also resembles Wolfenstein 3D in some aspects, but maybe it’s just me.

Vertix.io gameplay screenshot ynef unique io games

Like any other decent shooter, Vertix comes with different weapons, mods, skins and clans. It has servers on all of the big continents to help you get the most out of the game without lagging out.

In case you get hurt, you can quickly find the medipack to help you recover. Additionally there are lootcrates around the level that help you in times of trouble.

Doblons.io review and a quick start guide for winning the game

Doblons.io is a fun new .io browser based game inspired by my favorite tank game, Diep.io, and a pirate ships game called Pirac.io. The game can also be considered a more sophisticated and digital version of the classic battleships game that you play with your friend and have to guess where their ships are located on a piece of paper. This article is going to be a quick overview on how to play the Doblonsio game and I’ll also share with you my personal strategy which always helps me climb the scoreboard quickly.

Ynef is winning the game again

Getting started

You start out as a puny and vulnerable battleship equipped with just two small side cannons which cannot fire all that far. Your first priority should be to collect the various gold, silver and bronze coins scattered around the sea as these will be used increase your wealth in order to upgrade your cannons and other features of the ship later on.

About the upgrades

Upgrades such as hull strength, auto repairs, cannon range and reload speed should all be familiar to most of us from the tank game Diep.io. These are the abilities that help your ship become stronger, repair itself, shoot cannonballs farther away and fire them at a much faster rate.

However there are a couple of quite interesting additional upgrades available in Doblons.io that you can’t find in other similar games. For example the fishing boat upgrade allows you to spawn a small fishing boat on the map which will then sail off, but not too far away, and will start to collect money for you.

The Battleship and Man of War upgrades help you by spawning an additional battle ship near you that will attack enemy vessels and protect you from them. The Battleship upgrade is a weaker version of Man of War and they cost 500 and 1000 coins to summon, respectively.

The strategy

My strategy usually relies on upgrading to better weapons as soon as possible and once I’m happy with the firepower (3 cannons on both sides), I start to concentrate more on maneuverability like turn speed and movement speed. I’d say turn speed is more important because most of your cannons are going to be on the sides anyway and with a high enough turn speed you can easily turn your battleship around and aim your weapons directly at the enemy.

By now I have almost always spawned a fishing boat to help me collect the coins. It really does make a difference! After that I start to work on my hull strength and of course the auto repairs which is incredibly useful in case you have just barely escaped from a battle with a much stronger enemy and need a moment to recover.

Final words

I personally found the movement a little annoying and had to spend quite a lot of time just to figure out exactly how the ship responded to the way I moved my mouse. It didn’t make sense to me for some reason and I’m usually pretty good at these types of games. Other than that it’s a great game with a lot of potential, but I still believe Diep.io to be the best .io game that’s currently out there.

Splix.io overview and quick how to play guide

There seems to be a new trend in browser based games where a developer takes one old and long forgotten game and turns it into something completely different with the help of modern day technology like HTML5 canvas and socket.io. If you have no idea what I just said then the perfect examples of such games are Agar.io, Slither.io, Diep.io and now jespertheend from Reddit has launched yet another similar game called Splix.io which is inspired by a perhaps not so well known ancient computer game, Xonix. If you are unable to access the game from your current location directly, you should try splixio unblocked– a free web service dedicated to letting you play the game hassle free.

Splix io Gameplay Screenshot

The objective in Splix.io

Unlike in other similar browser based .io games where the objective is to simply grow bigger in size and destroy all of your enemies, the goal of Splix.io is to claim as much of the land as your own as possible.

In order to claim new territory you must venture out from your initial safe zone and try to surround as many blocks as possible with the trail that you leave behind while moving forward using the arrow or WASD keys. Basically what you’re doing is you’re “cutting out” pieces of the unclaimed land and converting them into your colors. Congratulations, you have just expanded your territory!

Hint: You can also cut out the land or territory of other players and claim it as your own.

Playing Splix.io

You start out with an area of 25 blocks which is your safe zone. You won’t leave a trail behind here so nobody can really hurt you unless you move outwards. But since the goal of the game is to claim more blocks (land) as your own, you have to start expanding eventually.

No matter what you do, you must never allow another player to cut through your trail. You will die! You will also die if you happen to cut through your own trail which makes this part of the game very classic “Snake” like. That’s why it’s important to be patient and grow your territory gradually by taking up small pieces of land at a time because if you get greedy and want to claim too much of the land in one go, you will most likely get killed by other players who cut through your trail.

How to survive with minimal risk

First of all you should try to claim small pieces of land by surrounding smaller areas near your base, then quickly return to your base and repeat the process. By doing this you’ll eventually control a big territory with minimal risk involved. You can try gobbling up bigger pieces occasionally when there’s nobody else around and if you’re extra crazy, you can try to kill other players by cutting through their trails.

Additional notes

It’s a relatively new game so you should expect bugs, some lag and the occasional “unable to connect” error. It can be a pain, but I’m sure the developers are well aware of these issues especially because a lot of people mention these things already in this Reddit thread.

Just like with other .IO games, Splix is also offering additional features when you share the game to your friends via Facebook or Twitter, but so far the unlockables are limited to a few extra colors and a couple of fancier patterns to your territorial blocks.

In my opinion this game has great potential and hopefully there will be new and interesting features available soon enough. A++, Jesper The End!
